Party Bridge Monday Evenings: 16 hands starting at 7:00pm. First date is June 24th.
Visitors pay $5 to play and members pay $3. There are small cash awards -- depending on how many people play. In 2011, the number playing ranged from 8 to 24. There is no advance sign-up. Simply, show up with or without a partner. If you come with a partner, you will not be permitted to play with him or her after the first four hands.
It is important that you know how to play bridge, but nobody minds if you use an outdated bidding system. Indeed one of our successful players describes her bidding method as "Mount Holyoke 1952." You will play with a variety of partners, and you will have about 90 seconds to ask them a few questions about their bidding systems. The kitchen is not open while we play, but your entrance fee buys you lemonade, iced tea, and cookies or other snack. Please check the ICC Calendar to confirm date(s).

Deer Isle Duplicate Bridge (sanctioned ACBL game): Starting May 22nd, then on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month; Registration 1 PM; Play begins at 1:30 PM
Games held at ICC carry a $5 admission fee for Visitors and a $4 fee for members. Wednesday session dates alternate with Blue Hill duplicate bridge, which meets in Blue Hill the other two Wednesdays of each month. Check the ICC Calendar for opening date and to confirm future dates. Coffee, lemonade, and snacks are served, and the kitchen is open until 2:00pm at the club.
Show up with a partner or contact Phylis at firstname.lastname@example.org or Mary at email@example.com. They may be able to help you find a partner. If so, be prepared to describe your skill level in some detail. Those who played in 2011 included some ACBL Life Masters, but also many much less experienced players. Summer attendance was usually four or five tables, so the Howell movement was the usual governing paradigm.
