June 6th was Clubhouse Manager Karen Galella’s birthday! Friends Jean Hutchinson and Suzanne Banghart presented her with a monster golf club about 4 feet tall to match a basket ball sized golf ball and tee they have given her for her birthday in past years.
We would like to congratulate the class of 2011 and the newest addition to our staff Aimme Cardoza on their graduation. Cardoza is Janet Snowden’s granddaughter and Katie Thompson’s daughter and we are happy to welcome her to the staff.
If you were here on Monday, June 6th you would’ve witnessed a battle of the ages, literally. Keith Hoover and Dana Douglass (the Old Fogies) played a scramble against Sam Grindle and Connor Morey (the Flying Ladies, a reference to a ladies ball that was a pre-game gift by Keith Hoover to the “youngsters.”
At the end of it all, the two teams ended up with a tie. I think a rematch is planned.
